Rue-la-la

I got an inside tip from a long lost friend about the website Ruelala which has designer brands that go on 2-day boutique sales. Boutiques include, Just Cavalli, Michael Kors, Valentino, Locman and more. However it is invite only by email you need a password to get onto the website so email me and I will invite you! You can then invite your friends and build credit towards your account to go shopping! Trust me you do not want to miss on this.

Baggage Claim

Ill have to admit, I've been a little lazy the past few days with everything. My apartment is a disaster, my room looks like Hurricane Grace came through, I don't hand in my articles until minutes before deadline, and I stare at my computer blankly as if it's singing me lullabies. I need a 5-hour energy or better yet more than 5 hours of sleep to reboot this body of mine. This weekend I plan on doing some intense relaxation.

One thing I havent stopped doing though, is looking at bags. As you can tell from my posts I talk about bags a lot and am starting become more obsessed as the days passed. I have had to research high-end suitcases for our next style issue of OceanHome and came across gorgeous Gucci, Louis Vuitton (obviously) and Hartmann bags. I will put money on it that almost every girls dream is to own the Louis Vuitton luggage set and this homegirl isn't any different. I would kill for the duffle or hardwood case, but that's what dreams are for.

Mustard has also been big with me and I'm loving the Dooney and Bourke Leather and Exclusives collections, but I wont shy away from the other colors either. Winter is for more subtle colors usually, but I am thinking bright now a days and am leaning more towards blue, yellow, and reds as part of my wardrobe.

I want to know other peoples opinions, what are your favorite bags or dream bag? If its a no-name or high-end brand who cares tell me and I'll post a few. Maybe look into a few of them as ideas for my collection. Whatever your style is, share it.

Spotlight: Sylvia Toledano

Morning, or should I say almost afternoon. This rainy day is getting to me and making me want to do nothing but get into bed, and not work. Im dragging, and being slow with everything I am doing, my editor has hounded me for 2 articles today, but I just cant get myself to do them yet. I needed to take a break and free browse a few sites, landing me at one of my favorites, luxist.com. If you haven't heard or been to luxist.com I encourage you to check it out. It's a high-end website that writes about everything from yachts, to watches, cigar shops, houses, cars, clothes, you get the picture. Looking on their I found this clutch designed by Sylvia Toledano, an artist and designer out of Paris. She uses Austrian Crystals for her evening bags that come out stunning. The Arbre de Vie is my personal favorite. SylviaToledano.com

Leona Collection

One of my room mates mentioned something to me about this collection and I thought their stuff was beautiful. I encourage you to look at it and see if you like anything, personally I liked it all. http://www.leonacollection.com/

Jackpot

Working as an intern for two luxury magazines I find myself constantly surrounded by websites that are promoting high-end materials, objects, houses, cars, etc. That in itself has opened many doors for me to see what is circulating the internet and world. I am exposed to companies I never knew existed. Today I discovered LuxGoddess, a website that has high-end clothing for discounted prices. Also LuxGoddess is a high supporter for Breast and Ovarian Cancer, and you can see that on their Bright Pink section. 10% of the proceeds go towards helping find a cure. Shopping and helping out the world, doesn't get much better than that.

LuxGoddess finds savings from brands such as:
Betsy Johnson
DKNY
Arden B.
Juicy Couture
BCBGMaxazria
Free People
Prada
Marc Jacobs
Nanette Lepore

...and many more. Visit the site and find something fabulous. http://www.luxgoddess.com/

Kim Kardashian

If you haven't heard yet, Kim Kardashian just cleaned out her closet and will be selling some of her things on Ebay soon. Make sure you check it out for some good deals and steals. Visit her blog to see what's new with her http://kimkardashian.celebuzz.com/
