Victoria Secret Round-Up

I wouldn't be much of a fashion blogger if I didn't recap the Victoria's Secret Fashion Showed that took place last week. The outfits were amazing and crazy, as always, and Heidi Klum who had her baby just 6 weeks ago, put on her stilettos and strutted down the runway, looking gorgeous.

The big outfit of the night was the $3 million dollar bra that Marisa Miller got to wear, but to be honest this bra doesn't compare to the previous big listing bras we've seen in the annual show. Regardless $3 million is $3 million so of course I had to mention it.

Angels return to NYC

This Friday the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will take place in NYC, the first time since 2005. The show will air December 1st on CBS and will host returning angels like Marisa Miller and possibly new angel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (who is said to be the cousin of the Queen of England), but a few favorites, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima may or may not make an appearance due to pregnancies (it was reported on the 16th that Lima gave birth to a baby girl, Valentina Lima Jaric). Craft Swap

Like a penpal, Free People have decided to do a craft swap for the Holidays. They have done several in the past for holidays like valentines day and christmas and they are continuing the idea this year. All you do is submit your name, address and email address and they send you a buddy to make a gift for. You have until December 25th to make a gift and send it away! You can make anything from headbands to bookmarks, even a toothbrush if you wanted, you can make anything and that is the fun in it. Its a great inexpensive way to meet someone new and show off your creative ability, and also get a free present, and who doesn't love something free? You have until November 27th to sign up and you can do so at the link on the bottom. I just did and I need ideas on what to make, help me out!

As ive posted before LnA is an all time favorite of mine, and searching through their holiday 2009 stuff I found these leggings that are so edgy its awesome. You can wear them with a regular tshirt or dress it up with a fun shirt or mini dress, im totally loving them, especially in silver.

Ever since I saw the episodes of 'The Hills' where Whitney Port wears Hillary Swanks dress and falls down the stairs I have been obsessed with the pencil skirt that the demon NY intern wore. It was navy blue and she wore it with an oversized white button up and it looked so classy. I have been on the hunt for one ever since and finally found one! BCBG of course and I love it.

Most Wonderful Time of the Year

After Halloween I cant help but skip over Thanksgiving, obviously because Christmas and my birthday are coming, but I love the atmosphere of Winter. I like the smells, the cheerful mood everyone is in when the first snow falls and the amazing food! I'm Italian so when I go home all I smell is food coming out of the oven and it literally makes my mouth water.

This Christmas/Bday however I am not asking for much. As everyone knows times are tough in this downward spiraling economy and I figured my parents have already paid for my college (not cheap) tuition, so the least I can do is be reasonable this year. The things I am asking for are simple, some expensive but only a few items, and most things I have wanted forever. These are the big things I am asking for this year:

Lily Allen for Chanel

Chanel has always been known for its elegance and classy look. From fragrance to clothes and luxurious handbags, Chanel is one of the highest names in High End fashion, but the new line, featuring Lily Allen, has left me confused and mostly uninterested. I for one have always been a fan of Chanel bags and think that they will never go out of style, but I sincerely hope that these bags too, and maybe when they become a trend I will be kicking myself for saying these things, but realistically I dont see that happening.

Lily Allen looks gorgeous in her tiara and typical Chanel black dress but the bag looks like a down comforter and just is unappealing in the ad. It's just so heartbreaking to see something so glamorous and classy look so ugly. You can see the whole collection at chanelcocococoon.com

Erin Gilmore, the new Kat Von D

With Halloween behind us and Thanksgiving over the horizon it seems as if candy overload and fall feasts will never escape us. I for one ate more candy than I thought imaginable, not saying I didn't love it, and now I am preparing myself with turkey eating pants. Halloween was a success I cant say I got the style award, my outfit consisted of a yellow construction paper symbol of batman and a trash-bag as a cape. My room mates however definitely took the creative and stylish awards for the weekend dressing up as a box of Franzia, Kat-Von-D from Miami Ink, a Nuva Ring girl, Barbie, and Alex from A Clockwork Orange. Throw in batman and you've got a unique looking group of gals, pictures will be posted later. 

This past weekend got me thinking how creative the concept of Halloween is and how good people look when they are stepping out of the norm. My room mate Erin for example, dressed up at Kat-Von-D, if you don't know who is she, she's the former Miami-Ink then turned LA-Ink tattoo artist. she has tattoos all over herself including hands, neck, and face, and can rarely be seen without crimson red lipstick on. It's  a hard look to pass off but my room mate nailed it, making it seem as if she too should have stars above her left eye. I will post a picture later, but my room mate was as close to identical as you could get, and she looked as if she should normally have tattoos everywhere and vixen style makeup. Halloween in general just makes me think that people should step out of the norm and experiment every now and then, they might find something they like.
